WHAT IS EU RoHS?

EU RoHS stands for Restriction of use of Hazardous Substances. EU RoHS directive was issued January 27th, 2003 by European Commission. It is legislated for restricting the use of six substances in electrical and electronic equipment (EEE.) Our Platinum thin film RTD elements are all EU RoHS compliant products. Lead(Pb) is contained as lead oxide(PbO) in the blue-color protection layer. However, thin film RTD element is “Electronic Components.” Those are exclusive from RoHS Directive in the ANNEX 7(c)-1(2011/6/EU).
